ABOUT IVY

Ivy Ingram, MA, AP, is an Ayurveda Practitioner and Yoga teacher specializing in women’s health. With a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, she has been helping clients experience deeper health and healing for over 18 years.

Her work draws on insight from psychology, somatics, herbalism, mindfulness, presence-based coaching, and other wisdom sources. She works with clients through online programs, individual consultations, seasonal cleanses and educational courses to help them find comfort in their bodies and ease in their life.

Ivy is a former faculty member of the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico under the direction of the world-renowned Dr. Vasant Lad. She received her Ayurveda Practitioner certification from Dr. Lad after an intensive 2-year clinical training program.

She also studied Ayurveda in southern India for 5 months in 2011 with her primary teacher there, Dr. A.R. Ramadas of Vaidyagrama healing village. She has returned to India nearly every year for further training or treatment. She also participated in several mentorships with noted Ayurveda teacher Dr. Claudia Welch.

Ivy has drawn deeply on the wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga in her own ongoing healing from an autoimmune hyperthyroid condition. This exploration, including 3 months of treatment in India, continues to deepen her understanding of what healing actually means and how to support the inherent ability of the body-mind to restore balance.

A certified 500-hour advanced yoga teacher, Ivy began teaching yoga in 2002 after completing two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings, one with Integrative Yoga Therapy and one with Kripalu Yoga Center. She completed a 300-hour teacher training in Ayuryoga at the Ayurvedic Institute, integrating the principles of Ayurveda and Yoga as healing practices. She has also received specialized training to teach yoga to pregnant women and people living with cancer and cardiac issues.

Ivy has taught yoga to patients in a cancer treatment center, the clinical staff at a Harvard teaching hospital, and inmates in the Oregon and Texas prison systems.

A dedicated student of Vedic chant and Sanskrit, she is fascinated by the power of sound, poetry and the spoken word in healing. Ivy has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Brown University. She holds a life-long commitment to helping people find their unique path to health, fulfillment and joy.
