Semi-Permeability is Required for Good Health

 

One hallmark of good health - and a prerequisite for healing - is the ability to selectively open and close our protective barriers. We need to cultivate the ability to modify how permeable we are, and we need discernment to determine when to do so. Here are some key steps we can take to strengthen our discernment and restore a helpful level of permeability.

 

For the physical body level:

  1. Follow the APPETITE - Eat when we’re hungry, and don’t eat when we’re not hungry.
  2. DETOXIFY the backlog and waste that blocks our cellular intelligence.
  3. Give the GI System a REST - Consider joining the Spring Digestive Reset.

For the mental level: 

  1. ASK OURSELVES: Am I adequately cultivating my own thoughts, or have I let in too many other people’s thoughts? Have I been too closed-minded to alternative view points? Am I experiencing information-overload?
  2. Get enough good SLEEP!

For the energetic level:

  1. Commit to practices that STABILIZE our energy and remind us of our connected reality, such as pranayama, yoga, chanting, prayer and meditation. 
  2. Keep GOOD COMPANY, putting ourselves with people and environments whose energy we want to absorb.
